Christmas Blog

For the first blog back from Christmas break, I'm not going to post something about my holidays or whatever, but rather something near and dear to my heart; spacers.  Now for those who don't know what I'm talking about, I speak of course of the big holes in people's ears and currently I am at 00G which is about 8mm diameter, but I have been up to more than half an inch.  The question I always get is "why?" and the answer is usually respond with is "I think they're cool".  But honestly it's more of one of those things you know you're going to regret down the road but you can't think of down the road when you're stuffing in your tapers.  When I got to half an inch, or 12mm I soon realized that they're never going to heal fully; and to test this over the summer I took them out and low and behold when they were fully healed there was still a 1.5mm hole.  So now I'm left with these things for a while, which honestly I'm fine with because I like them, and I do intend to go bigger because why not right?  I'm stuck with them anyway until I get surgery to fix 'em.  Go big or go home right?  But the second most thing people ask me about them is "how big are you going?" and in reply I usually stretch my arms up in the air and tell them "until I can fit my arms through them".  I'm joking, of course, I think that's just way too big but for people that do stretch that big go for it.  I secretly wish I could fit dinner plates in my ears too, how convenient?

  1. I absolutly love when people ask me why I have piercings! It always seems like they're waiting for a legitimate answer, like I could possibly have an actual good reason to stab so many holes through my body, and most of the time when I reply with "Because they're awesome" they come back with "You're retarded". But whatever, we're young, might as well do it while it still has a chance to look good.
Now image one of your grandparents with crazy piercings.
    Hehe.

  2. This reminded me of what people say when they realize I have a tattoo. Most of them say, "Ew you realize that will sag right?" Well duh it will, but I figure I have more time in my life where it will be nice then the amount of time it'll be saggy.

I'll just be that gma with saggy tattoos all over her body. Whatevs, at least I'll know that it used to look cool.
